My wife and I had a current home buying experience that we wanted to share. We had been working with a different realtor for approximately 8 months until we decided to change. We found DeAnn Hansen at RE/MAX.
The experience goes:
We thought on Saturdays, when we had more time that we should be looking at homes. Sure we had seen some homes over the past 8 months that we had requested to see from a recurring stagnant email each week, but had not had a realtor that was really showing us homes. We had given him our criteria for what we wanted to purchase, but the most extent was the weekly email that we could pick homes from to see. Unfortunately the weekly email had the same ones, not a lot of choices, and wasn't really following our criteria. I was very confused with the emails we got weekly, because I had picked up the free realtor magazines and had seen tons of listed homes. We wouldn't have known about the homes if I hadn't picked up that magazine. We requested to see some of the homes but we were too late, as some were in the process of closing or already sold.
This frustrated us as I was under the home buying impression that the realtor was the one to "find" us a home according to our budget and criteria. This was not happening. One Saturday my wife and I got so frustrated and thought this is a Saturday, we should be out looking at homes the realtor has for us to see.
We called and talked with our then current realtor and told him our concerns. He stated that we could make an appointment to see homes for about a week in advance. I told him he should want to show us homes. At that point my wife and I decided to get another realtor that had our best interest in mind.
We choose RE/MAX, as it was the company my wife had when she sold her last home, and she was really impressed. We walked in and spoke with the secretary who introduced us to DeAnn Hansen.
DeAnn spent some time with us asking some uncovering questions as to what we our criteria and amount we wanted to spend. She asked us to give her a couple hours and she would call us back to show us some properties. My wife and I were in awe as we didn't have to search for things ourselves and someone actually cared as to what we wanted.
When we met a few hours later, she showed us many different options and asked which ones we wanted to see the most. We picked them out and went to our first choice. DeAnn stated that this home was gorgeous and she had arranged to have us see it first, as it was not yet listed on the MLS. To make a long story short, that first home was the home we bought about a month and a half later. Sure we saw other homes that day, but DeAnn was able to listen to our needs and search out a home that we were and still are so impressed with.
DeAnn was able to work with the seller to ensure a quick sale, and ensure our requests were met very quickly. I have never met someone that was so expedient and accessible in communication. We could call anytime and DeAnn was there to answer, and if she couldn't answer she followed up very quickly.
I am so impressed with DeAnn's professionalism and care for her clients. My wife and I have found a home we thought we never could. We are more than happy we made a decision to work with DeAnn and RE/MAX. Thank you for all your efforts in helping our family.

To be frank, we chose Rob & DeAnn Hansen as our realtors for 2 reasons.
We were in France trying to do everything by internet and first of all we liked their pictures (they look like a happy couple and those are a rare item in France) and secondly, we liked the reviews of some of their customers, who felt that DeAnn and Rob really worked hard for them.
Now we would like to add our review. We set up (by email with DeAnn) 4 days to come and look for a property in the St. George area and Rob & DeAnn devoted those days to us almost exclusively. We were sent all the MLS listings for the area and were given access to the foreclosures by internet as well. They totally respected our desire to stay within a certain price range. They looked specifically for the things we were hoping to find, and took us to see anything and everything we requested. DeAnn told us the first day that she was confident that we could find what we were looking for in those 4 days. And we did.
Then she arranged everything for the closing, even working to make sure the closing on our former home (which sold that same week) went smoothly. She never just assumed that something was going to happen, she made sure that it happened. She gave us recommendations for insurance, services we might need for the house, even contacting the utilities' company ahead of time for us, etc. She went far beyond our wildest expectations of a realtor. We can't say enough for the persistence and hard work this team displayed. They're the BEST.
